The WTAT (Wet Track Abrasion Test) test aims to determine the minimum binder content in asphalt mixtures such as cold microcoatings and asphalt slurry, through loss by wet abrasion, for 1 hour at 25°C.
The test consists of simulating abrasive conditions, such as vehicles braking and turning, to verify weight loss, expressed in total grams lost or grams lost per unit of worn area (g/m²), using a sample in the form of disc, 6 mm thick and 280 mm in diameter.
Stratura Asfaltos is a pioneer in high-performance asphalt mixing technology and also in the structural and functional evaluation of pavements, and has equipment for testing WTAT (Wet Track Abrasion Test) to meet the requirements of the road community.”
